Refund & Returns Policy
At Sylvadell, we want you to feel cared for in every part of your experience with us. This policy sits alongside your legal rights as a consumer under UK law — it never replaces them.
Digital products (downloads such as A Slow Year, and other PDFs)
Because digital items are delivered instantly and can't be returned once accessed, we're unable to offer refunds on digital downloads once the download has begun. At checkout you'll be asked to consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that this waives the standard 14-day cancellation right for digital content. If you change your mind before downloading, simply email us and we'll cancel and refund.
If a digital file is faulty, won't open, or differs from its description, please email hello@sylvadell.com within a reasonable time and we'll put it right — a working file or a full refund.
Physical products
For physical items you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, for any reason. To do so, email hello@sylvadell.com to let us know, then return the item within 14 days in its original, unused condition. We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving the return (or proof of postage). Return postage is the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Our printed journals are made to order through our print partner, so please allow for production time before dispatch (see our Shipping Policy).
If a physical item arrives faulty or damaged, contact us within 30 days and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund, including any postage costs, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
